Riley was considered a four-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals. He was also ranked No. 75 overall player and No. 2 tight end nationally in ESPN300. During his high school career, Riley was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America game and in the Polynesian Bowl.
